IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT YOUR PET AND VACCINATE HIM/HER. Puppies and kittens are like bringing an infant home from the hospital. They too rely on “moms and dads” to protect them from harmful and contagious diseases. If you do not have the funds to take care of your pet and protect him/her- then you are not ready for owning a pet. Pets need medical attention, shelter, water, feeding, and a clean environment, training, exercise, flea and heartworm prevention and of course LOVE. In return you will have a great companion.

VACCINATION SCHEDULE
IF THE PET WAS BOTTLE FED THEN START VACCINATIONS AT 5 WEEKS OF AGE. The immunity is built up when vaccines are given 3-4 weeks apart from each other. If vaccines are not given on time and the owner brings the pet back even two months later – than the vaccines should be started all over again in order for the kitten/puppy to build up a resistance to the disease.
If your pet is sick or shows symptoms of the disease DO NOT GIVE THE VACCINE (it will not stop the disease) have the pet be checked by a licensed Veterinarian. The earlier you get the pet in for treatment the better off the patient is to recover. Before any pet is vaccinated it should have a wellness check. This will establish the pet with the Veterinarian who will check the eyes, ears, heart, lungs, teeth and gums, and paws. This exam will also give the opportunity for the owner to ask any questions/concerns that he/she may have.

VACCINES FOR YOUR PET

If an animal is older than 1 years of age and the client does not know the history of the animal – Yes give vaccines and get a booster of the distemper in 3-4 weeks from receiving the 1st one.

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN THE COST OF A CURE FOR THE DISEASE.

RABIES IS REQUIRED BY THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA.
