Mobile Manners- PET MED Style

After work on Fridays, all day on Saturday and on Sundays after church, pets who own people come to our mobiles to get their vaccinations. Mostly they do it because, like buckling your seat belt, it’s the law!

Otherwise, they get the chance to socialize and, if possible, outwit their owners. Our vets, however, have plenty of tricks up their sleeve and the pet – cat or dog, male or female – hardly feels the “Ouch!”

But if you’ve never been to PET MED before, here are a few rules that might help:

YES WE ARE ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

BRING DRIVERS LICENSE FOR PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION.

Form a single file line – bunched up groups only cause stress on the pet, owner, staff members.

TO ASSURE THAT YOU ARE SEEN - THE DOCTORS REQUEST THAT YOU ARE IN LINE WHEN THE MOBILE ARRIVES. A LAST CALL DEVICE MAY BE GIVEN TO THE LAST PERSON IN LINE.

A leash (short) is a must for dogs, big or small.

Remember your pet is not in their own protected environment and anything can arise- Beware of your surroundings at all times.

An Individual carrier is necessary for each cat.
If there is a line at the Petmed Mobile, please ask which line you should be in.
Cash, checks, mastercard, visa and discover cards are accepted. Make sure you have identification. Be prepared to have other means of payment if the credit card machine is down.

Keep in mind that our host business is helping us provide this public service, so please be courteous with parking and clean up after your pet.

Bring water and something for your pet to stand on during hot summer days.

******** WE ARE ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS *********

*Policy has changed for Mobile clients, please read below.*
*EFFECTIVE MARCH 27, 2009
The South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulations
requires that a veterinarian-client-pet relationship must exist for a
pet to receive any prescription medications. This relationship must be within on year from the current date of service and must be
"hands-on"(must have actually seen the pet). Heartworm prevention is included as prescribed medication. If purchasing heartworm prevention without the pet, the client MUST bring the pet's documentation/receipt from either Richland Creek Animal Clinic or Pet Med Mobile to verify that our doctors have established the required relationship within the current one year time frame. If this is not available, the pet's owner MUST bring the pet to establish the required relationship.

There will be a $5.00 service fee for duplicate rabies certificate/record, so make sure you keep all your receipts because this is a medical record/legal document.

  • All heartworm medication and prescribed medication requires a veterinarian-client-pet relationship with our doctors within the last year.
  • Please bring in receipts from past visits to prove this relationship has not expired.
  • Please keep in mind the Pet Med Mobile has a limited amount of space to carry products. We can mail products to your home if you use the order form on this website or call our office.
  • There will be a $5.00 service fee for duplicate rabies certificate/record. So make sure you keep all your receipts because this is a medical record/legal document.

Watch for our sign to visit Pet Med Mobile. You’ll know it’s the one and only “Dr. Stan” because his logo is an eagle sheltering a puppy and a kitten. Beware of imposters and our look-alikes. Check credentials. We’re the real thing.
See you at the PET MED Mobile!
